Setting it up, in order
Know what you are actually holding
Those three values together are an Xtream Codes login. The server address says which machine holds your line-up, and the username and password identify your account on it. Every player that offers this option asks for exactly these three things, which is why once you have set up one device the rest take two minutes each. Nothing else about your subscription changes between devices.
Prefer this over a playlist link, and know why
Most accounts can be used either as an Xtream login or as a plain M3U playlist, and they reach the same channels. They are not equivalent. An Xtream login exposes the line-up as structured data, so the player can show proper groups, load guide data, list the on-demand categories, and read out which audio tracks and subtitle streams each feed is carrying. A playlist is a flat list of addresses and carries none of that.
Enter it exactly as sent
The server address must include the scheme at the front, http or https, and any port number at the end. The username and password are case sensitive. Copy and paste them where the device allows it, and where it does not, type slowly and check the end of each field for a space added by autocorrect. Nearly every login failure reported to us is one of those two things.
Understand the endpoints behind it
The login is a convenience over a small number of addresses. The player builds a get.php request for the line-up and an xmltv.php request for the guide data, using your credentials as parameters. You never need to see these, and it is worth knowing they exist, because when a player asks separately for a playlist URL and an EPG URL those are the two it wants.
Treat the credentials as private
Anyone holding those three values can use your account, and a full playlist address contains the username and password inside it. Do not paste one into a public forum, a review, or a screenshot when asking for help. Crop the image or blank the line. This is the single most common way people lose an account, and it is entirely avoidable.
Use the same login everywhere
The same three values work on a Firestick, an Android box, an Apple TV, a phone and a computer at once. Installing the player in several places costs nothing. What your term governs is how many of them may be streaming at the same moment, which is a different question from how many are set up.
Check it in the simplest place first when something breaks
If a device stops working, sign in with the same three values somewhere else, ideally a phone or a browser. If it works there, the account is fine and the problem is that device. If it fails everywhere, send us what you entered. That one test saves more time than any other piece of advice on this site.
When something is wrong
The player rejects the server address
Check the scheme and the port. A missing http at the front or a dropped port number at the end produces exactly this, and it looks identical to a wrong password from the user side.
It works on the phone and not on the television
Then the account is fine and the television is the problem. Re-enter the details there, watching for autocorrect, and check that device is actually on the network.
The guide is missing but channels play
The line-up loaded and the guide request did not. Refresh the guide from the player settings. If it is still empty, tell us, because that is at our end rather than yours.
I pasted my playlist link somewhere public
Tell us immediately and we will change the credentials. The link contains your username and password in plain text, so treat it as you would a password rather than as a web address.
A second device says the account is in use
You have reached the number of simultaneous feeds your term allows. Stop one stream, or move up a tier, which we can do part way through a term charging only the difference.

What is the difference between Xtream and M3U?
Xtream is structured and knows about groups, guide data, on-demand categories and audio tracks. M3U is a flat list of stream addresses. Both reach the same channels; only one of them makes a player pleasant to use.
Can I change my password?
Ask on WhatsApp and we will change it. You then re-enter the new value on each device, which takes a couple of minutes. It is worth doing if you think the credentials have been seen by anyone else.
Is it safe to give these details to a player?
To a mainstream player installed from a platform store or its developer, yes: that is what they are for. What we would avoid is entering them into unfamiliar web pages offering to test your line, which are not what they claim.
Do the three values ever change?
Not during a term unless you ask us to change them. Renewing extends the same account rather than issuing new credentials, so your devices keep working without being touched.
Can two people use the same login in different houses?
Technically the credentials would work, and the terms of service limit an account to one household. What the system enforces is the number of simultaneous feeds, so a term with several feeds is the correct way to cover more than one screen.
What happens to my login when the term ends?
It stops working and the details stay reserved for a period. Renewing extends the same account, so devices do not need touching. If you leave it long enough the credentials are released and a new term means new values.
Does the server address ever change?
Rarely, and if it does we tell you in advance on WhatsApp and send the new one. It takes a moment to update on each device and nothing else about the account changes.
What is the one rule worth remembering?
Treat the three values as a password, because that is what they are. A full playlist address carries the username and password inside it, so an uncropped screenshot in a public forum hands somebody your account. Cropping the image takes two seconds and is the difference between a working subscription and a stolen one.
Can I see how many feeds I am using?
Not from the player, which only knows about itself. Ask on WhatsApp and we can tell you what the account is doing. It is the quickest way to settle the case where somebody is being told the account is in use and does not know why.
Does using a VPN break the login?
Usually not, though a distant server adds latency and can make a heavy feed stutter. If you use one, pick something nearby. If a login fails only with the VPN running, try it without to establish which of the two is responsible.
